about cragwall...
I built The Wall in 1986, the world's first system board. Then I took a 10 year detour to make holds and wall systems. I was so busy with business (and being a training wimp) I failed to use my own products to get stronger. After decades away from climbing, at 60, I found myself climbing again with kids and grandkids, but totally out of shape. It was then I had the epiphany. A mini-system board with multi-purpose holds that would remove every excuse for a training wimp like me. Cragwall is the wall The Wall could have, and maybe should have been.

Here are a few old ads. Plus photos of some of the prototypes from over the years. I still believe there should be something a bit smaller and a lot easier than the typical system board...we'll see if anyone else agrees.

Me moonlighting as a product development director at EP USA with Alan Watts.
After ending up on the wrong side of an international power struggle at Entre Prises, I was still working on a wall system. This 1997 prototype was a collaboration with Dale Goddard, who definitely had been in communication with Ben Moon who must have been working on early Moonboard prototypes at this time.

In the 2006-2016 period I was working on a smaller wall with smaller panels and multiple articulation options. Panels are 2x3' with a 20cm grid. This had promise but still several hurdles.

What will I do with these wood blocks? We'll see. Check back if you're interested or leave your email below.
